Windy City Silver Soirée: A Founder’s Day and 25th Anniversary Celebration

The Windy City Chapter joyously celebrated Founders Day for Jack and Jill of America Incorporated alongside our chapter’s 25th Anniversary. This special occasion honored the visionary efforts of Marion Stubbs Thomas, our National Founder, and the twenty-one other mothers who united to establish Jack and Jill of America Incorporated. We proudly commemorated twenty-five remarkable years of the Windy City Chapter!

Our celebration unfolded with a historical fashion show, a heartfelt celebratory toast, insightful remarks, and reflections shared by past presidents and our present leadership. This unforgettable event illuminated the profound legacy of the Windy City Chapter, infusing our collective spirit with renewed vigor as we embrace the journey into our chapter’s future.

The Windy City Chapter’s Caribbean Christmas Cultural event celebrated the vibrant cultures of the Caribbean. This exclusive Windy City experience featured a colorful parade displaying country flags and highlighted information about the University of the Virgin Islands, an esteemed HBCU. From Drezzy Claus listening to the Christmas wishes of our Jacks and Jills to the captivating rhythms of a Steel Drum band and graceful island dancers, the festivities were unforgettable. Windy City Jacks and Jills, Moms, and families joined in the joyous occasion, hitting the floor for lively cultural line dances.

Our Windy City Jacks and Jills participated in the Annual Grand Slam of Giving event, with this year’s theme being “Swing into the Holidays: Love for Our Community,” hosted at the XS Tennis Center in Chicago, Illinois. Generously sponsored by the USTA and XS Tennis Center, our children had the chance to learn and actively engage in tennis, alongside participating in enriching cultural Kwanzaa activities. Windy City Families embraced the opportunity to connect with fellow Jack and Jill families from across the Jack and Jill Inc Midwestern region, coming together to serve and contribute to philanthropic efforts within our community.

On August 5th, the newly initiated Mothers came together for a post-initiation family event at BOWL. The new Mothers were joined by President Coty-Bryant, Vice-President Flowers, and Teen President Bryant.
